Terms and Conditions of Use of University of the West of England, Bristol for FET Topic Resources
1.1 By using and / or registering to use this website or disk (the "Resources"), you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions which are stated here (the "Terms and Conditions").

2.1 The copyright in the material contained in these Resources together with the web design and layout, text and graphics, and their selection and arrangement, and all software compilations, underlying source code and software (including applets) belongs to UWE or its licensors. All rights are reserved.
2.2 You may, for personal educational non-commercial use only, download material to a disk for viewing (but not on to any server or other device connected to a network) and print material to paper subject to the restrictions described in the copyright notices within the material.
2.3 The DVD, and its contents, are for your use alone and must not be copied or distributed to other individuals or organisations.
2.4 The passwords for UWE and other web sites are for your use alone. They must not be copied to, shared with, or used by other individuals or organisations.
3.1 We take your online privacy very seriously. The information that you provide will be confidential and password-protected.
3.2 Any personal data provided by you through use of these Resources will be used to provide you with a tailored educational service. We will not use your information for any other purpose than the obvious purposes of these Resources and the courses of which they are a part. We will not share your personal information with any other organisation without your consent. The Resources do not use persistent cookies.
3.3 Under the Data Protection Act 1998 we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access. Appropriate levels of protection will be provided for the information that you enter into this system. The level of protection will be based on an assessment of the harm that is likely to be caused by the loss or unauthorised disclosure of the personal information you enter into the system and which is saved in the system. Unless otherwise stated, information is not encrypted when it is transmitted to us over the Internet.

5.4 UWE does not guarantee that the Resources will be fault free and does not accept liability for any errors or omissions. UWE does not give any guarantee that the Resources are free from viruses or anything else which may have a harmful effect on technology.
You agree to indemnify and to keep UWE indemnified on demand against any losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal expenses), claims, demands and liabilities suffered by UWE as a result of any fraudulent misrepresentation made by you or as a result of a virus which you have deliberately or negligently introduced to the Resources.
These Terms and Conditions are governed and will be interpreted in accordance with English law. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any claim or dispute which might arise out of, or in connection with, these Terms and Conditions.
UWE reserves the right at all times to vary, change, alter, amend, add to or remove any of these terms. By browsing the Resources you accept that you are bound by the current Terms and Conditions and notices and we therefore recommend that you check these Terms and Conditions each time you revisit the Resources. The current version of these Terms and Conditions was adopted and published on 8 December 2005.
9.1 UWE endeavours to allow uninterrupted access to the Resources, but access may be suspended, restricted or terminated at any time.
9.2 All disclaimers, indemnities and exclusions shall survive termination of the agreement with UWE for any reason.
9.3 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severed and the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall not be affected.
